Operations

A store does not stop to be cleaned.

Open to the public, restocking, customers walking through: floor care has to find its place in an already full day, over floor areas measured in thousands of square metres.

Robotic sweeping and cleaning solutions for supermarkets
01

Floors that stretch on

Aisles, food areas, entrances and lobbies: large floors to go over regularly.

02

Footfall that varies

Quiet hours, peak hours, weekends: the cleaning plan has to follow the store’s rhythm.

03

Soiling of every kind

Dust, dry debris, marks on the floor: depending on the case, you sweep, vacuum or wash.

04

Teams already stretched

Restocking, tills, customer service: every cleaning pass takes time away from running the store.

Floor cleaning

Automating recurring floor care.

ÆNIX PURE ONE takes on the regular upkeep of aisles that are clear enough, of lobbies and of main circulation routes, according to the floors and clearances recorded during the assessment.

Combining solutions

Sweep. Clean. Adapt.

A store does not need a robot: it needs the right combination. Depending on the zones, the floors and the tasks, the assessment may settle on one machine — or several, each on its own ground.

Neither compulsory nor one-size-fits-all: the combination chosen depends on your floors and your tasks. The assessment may equally conclude that one machine is enough, or that an area is not suited to automation.

A living environment

Designed to fit into a living environment.

Customers, staff, trolleys, restocking pallets, display units and end caps: a store changes shape through the day. Not every situation is equal, and the on-site assessment is what says so.

What the assessment defines

  • The zones given to the robot
  • The working hours
  • The routes and the excluded areas
  • The operating conditions

Before opening, after closing or during the day on defined zones: the choice is made with your teams, store by store.

ÆNIX integration

We start with your store, not with the robot.

ÆNIX Robotics is an integrator: we start from your floors, your organisation and your constraints before talking about machines.

Financial assessment

Where does automation genuinely add value?

No percentage saving and no payback period announced in advance: the value is worked out from your store’s data.

The assessment looks at tasks, not at jobs: it identifies what a machine can take on, and what it cannot.

Chains & networks

One store today. A network tomorrow.

A first installation serves as a reference: it lets you build a method that can be reused at other stores, where their environments are comparable.

StandardisationZones, routes and operating windows described once, then adapted site by site.
Lessons learnedWhat works at the first store guides the next ones — and so does what does not.
Progressive rolloutEvery new site gets its own assessment before being equipped.

Financing

Purchase or financing, depending on the project.

Different purchase or financing arrangements can be explored depending on the project and the number of machines. The terms are presented with the proposal, after the store assessment.

Frequently asked questions

Robots in store: your questions.

Assess my store
Which cleaning robot for a supermarket?

It depends on the tasks. To pick up dust and small dry debris over large floors, ÆNIX PURE SWEEP sweeps 890 mm wide with a 30 L hopper. For regular floor upkeep, ÆNIX PURE ONE combines sweeping, scrubbing, vacuuming and dust handling. The choice is settled after the store assessment.

Can a robot be used in an open store?

Depending on the zones and the footfall, yes for some of them. The assessment defines the zones given to the robot, the hours and the routes: before opening, after closing, or during the day on spaces defined with your teams.

What is the difference between a sweeping robot and a washing robot?

Sweeping picks up dust and debris dry: that is PURE SWEEP’s job, storing them in its hopper. Floor cleaning with PURE ONE combines several functions — sweeping, scrubbing, vacuuming, dust handling — for recurring upkeep. The two answer different needs and can complement each other.

Can several robots be combined in a large store?

Yes, where the floor areas and tasks justify it: one machine for sweeping the wide aisles, another for the upkeep of the zones that need it. It is not compulsory: the assessment may equally conclude that one machine is enough.

Which robot for cleaning the wide aisles of a hypermarket?

For long clear aisles, working width matters: PURE SWEEP sweeps 890 mm wide, with a stated maximum throughput of up to 1,000 m²/h depending on the conditions of use. For more thorough floor upkeep, PURE ONE states over 1,400 m²/h sweeping at 0.8 m/s. These are maximums: clutter and actual soiling make them vary.

Can a robot move around with customers and trolleys?

That is precisely what the on-site assessment checks: aisle widths, furniture, display units, restocking pallets and changes in footfall. Some areas are included, others excluded or reserved for quieter hours. No universal compatibility is claimed.

Are there robots with an advertising screen?

Yes: ÆNIX PURE ONE ADVERTISING is the screen add-on for PURE ONE. The robot carries on cleaning and shows your content as it moves, with content managed remotely. Screen size, resolution and formats are provided during the audit.

Can we trial a robot in our store?

Where it is worthwhile and possible, a demonstration or trial can be arranged, subject to the site’s eligibility and the availability of the solution. Tell us about your store to set the terms.

How much does a supermarket cleaning robot cost?

The cost depends on the machine chosen, the number of machines, the configuration, the deployment and the associated services (training, support, maintenance), as well as on how it is acquired or financed. ÆNIX draws up a proposal after assessing your needs. Request a quote

Can the robots be rolled out across several stores?

A first site serves as a reference: it lets you define a configuration and a method that can be reused at other stores with comparable environments. Every new store still gets its own assessment before being equipped: the rollout is progressive, not all at once.
