The reality on the ground

Thousands of square metres. Every day.

In a warehouse, floor care is a long, repetitive job that is hard to fit between two flows.

This page covers floor care in warehouses and logistics platforms. For production workshops and internal transport, see Manufacturing & logistics.

A large logistics platform suited to robotic cleaning
01

Vast floor areas

Long aisles, storage areas, docks: thousands of square metres to go over, zone after zone.

02

Dust and debris

Film, cardboard, splinters from pallets: the floor gets dirty at the pace of the flows and has to be gone over often.

03

Teams under pressure

Every cleaning pass ties up operators already busy with receiving, picking and dispatch.

04

Continuous activity

Forklifts, pedestrians, shift patterns: upkeep has to be organised without interrupting operations.

Automating without stopping work

The robot takes the repetitive work. Your teams keep the expertise.

Automation does not replace your teams: it takes on certain repetitive tasks suited to it, so that everyone can focus on the work that needs their skill.

Your teams

  • Receiving, picking and dispatch
  • Managing priorities and the unexpected
  • Checks and decisions on the ground

The robot

  • Sweeping wide aisles
  • Regular floor upkeep
  • Cleaning defined zones
  • Internal transport, where a suitable solution allows

The scope given to the robot is defined during your site assessment.

Sharing the space

Built to work in your environments.

A useful robot is a well-integrated robot. Before any deployment, ÆNIX assesses the reality of your site.

Your spaces

  • Clearance widths
  • Condition of the floor
  • Obstacles
  • Docks
  • Doors
  • Any lifts

Your operations

  • Movement of teams and vehicles
  • No-go zones
  • How the site is run
  • Operating hours

The ÆNIX method

From site assessment to ongoing support.

ÆNIX Robotics integrates the solution at your site and remains your point of contact at every stage.

Automation potential

Before buying a robot, let’s work out what it can genuinely automate.

No payback is stated without data: the potential is measured at your site, from your actual operations.

Frequently asked questions

Warehouse cleaning robots: your questions.

Assess my site
Which robot should you choose to clean a warehouse?

It depends on the floor area, the type of soiling and the standard expected. For dry sweeping of wide aisles, ÆNIX PURE SWEEP offers an 890 mm sweeping width and a 30 L hopper. Where the floor also calls for scrubbing, vacuuming or dust handling, ÆNIX PURE ONE combines those functions. The choice is confirmed after your site has been assessed.

Can a robot clean a warehouse while it is working?

It depends on how your site is run and is prepared beforehand: the assessment defines the zones, the time slots and the no-go areas, taking account of how teams and vehicles move. Depending on the case, cleaning is scheduled during activity or outside peak flows.

How much floor can an autonomous robot clean?

The stated throughputs are maximums: up to 1,000 m²/h for ÆNIX PURE SWEEP, and up to 1,400 m²/h sweeping at 0.8 m/s for ÆNIX PURE ONE. The area actually covered depends on clutter, soiling levels, the traffic plan and the operating windows: it is assessed during your site assessment. For a first order of magnitude, use the PURE SWEEP estimator.

Can we trial a robot in our warehouse?

Where possible, a demonstration or an on-site trial can be arranged, subject to the site’s eligibility and the availability of the solution. Tell us about your project to look at the terms.

Do the robots work on industrial concrete?

ÆNIX PURE SWEEP is designed for large industrial and logistics floors. Whether it suits your floor still depends on its condition and layout (joints, cracks, thresholds, slopes, covering): that is one of the points checked during the site analysis, before any recommendation.

How does installation work?

The project follows four stages: site analysis, demonstration or trial where possible, deployment and set-up (zones, routes, no-go areas, operating windows), then training for your teams and support according to the offer chosen.

Can several tasks be automated at the same site?

The assessment can cover several needs: sweeping wide aisles, more thorough upkeep of certain zones with a multi-function machine, internal flows and handling, which ÆNIX assesses case by case. The combination of solutions is set according to your floor areas and your organisation.

How much does an industrial cleaning robot cost?

The cost depends on the machine chosen, its configuration, the deployment at your site and the associated services (training, support, maintenance), as well as on how it is acquired or financed. ÆNIX draws up a proposal after assessing your needs. Request a quote
